Effective immediately, Richmond Irrigation & Power Company has imposed water restrictions for residents that will last officially through the end of the month but are expected to go on longer.

Odd Number Homes‘All odd numbered houses will be allowed to water from 7:00 a.m. Tuesday to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and 7:00 p.m. Saturday to 7:00 a.m. Sunday.”

Even Number Homes“All even numbered houses will be allowed to water from 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 7:00 p.m. on Sunday to 7:00 a.m. on Monday.”

If the available water continues to diminish further, turns may be reduced to 12-hour sets or restricted to just once per week.

This is one of many water restrictions expected to be put in place as the summer progresses and drought conditions persist. Other cities in Cache Valley that have water restrictions include Newton, Hyrum and North Logan.
