SHELLEY — A third woman has died following the two-vehicle crash on Highway 91 north of Shelley that occurred earlier this week.

Authorities reported that Queta Tolman, 68, of Basalt, has passed away at a local hospital.

The other two women involved in the wreck, Barbara K. Rutherford, 66, and her daughter Tammy K. Richeson, 43, both of Idaho Falls, died at the scene of the 4:40 p.m. Wednesday crash.

Idaho State Police said the accident occurred when Tolman was driving southbound on Highway 91 in a 2012 Ford F150 pickup and crossed over into the northbound lane, colliding with a 2013 Honda CR-V driven by Rutherford with her daughter as passenger.

Tolman, the pickup's only occupant, was transported via ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls where she died Thursday, authorities said.

Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt, state police said.

Highway 91 was shut down for about three hours because of the wreck.

The accident remains under investigation by state police.
