POCATELLO - All right, let's put on our thinking caps. Ready?

Tokyo is 9 hours ahead of London and London is 7 hours ahead of Denver. If Denver is 2 hours behind Washington, D.C., what time was it in D.C. at the moment 2009 began in Tokyo?

If that poser leaves you feeling jet lagged, it's probably fortunate you weren't a contestant in the annual MATHCOUNTS competition at Idaho State University's Pond Student Union Saturday.
