Early Tuesday morning, the Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies and Rexburg Police engaged in a vehicle chase where they apprehended and arrested 27-year-old Raymond Gruce on charges of possession of sexually exploitative material.

“The investigation quickly shifted and required assistance from multiple agencies locally and across the nation,” stated the sheriff’s office in a press release. “This case shows the dedication law enforcement has to protecting children, no matter how near or far they are.”

In addition to the Rexburg Police Department, the Idaho Falls Police Department, Kentucky’s Bardstown Police Department, and the Kentucky State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force assisted.

The Madison County Court arraigned Raymond on Tuesday and set his bond at $60,000.

“All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law,” stated the sheriff’s office.
