POCATELLO - Rebecca Anderson didn't have a good feeling about this year's Simplot Games as she flipped her calendar to February.
The event's executive director had received just 400 applicants at the beginning of the month, a steep drop from last year's tally of 1,800. She was haunted by fears of the economic slump ruining one of the nation's premier high school track and field meets.
