ISU drops another

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Two interceptions returned for touchdowns doomed Idaho State in a 38-17 loss Saturday at Sacramento State.

With the Hornets leading 17-10 midway through the second quarter, Bengals quarterback Russel Hill threw two picks that went for scores the other way to make it 31-10 at halftime to put the game out of reach.

Hill finished the day with 258 passing yards on 30-for-52 attempts. Clint Knickrehm ran the ball 19 times for 77 yards.

Two true freshmen, Skylar Morgan and Andrew Benavides, scored their first-career touchdowns in the loss.
