Heinz here sets 2-wk shutdowns
Doug Lindley/Idaho State Journal Heinz Company of Pocatello will be laying off employees.

POCATELLO - Heinz Frozen Foods has followed a recent trend of brief plant shut-downs in the aftermath of a global economic slowdown.

Associate Human Resources Manager Craig Sears confirmed that the local plant was shuttered for two weeks in December. The brief production halt affected all of the plant's approximately 800 employees.
