POCATELLO — It was announced Monday that Evan S. Frasure withdrew his candidacy for Pocatello City Council seat No. 6.

    The names of the remaining seat No. 6 candidates are Gary Moore and Charlene Young.

     As far as the reasoning behind the move, Pocatello City Clerk Ruth Whitworth said Frasure cited a change of situation that would conflict with his service on the council.

    A withdrawal of declaration of candidacy statement was sent to Whitworth

on Friday, Sept. 20. By submitting this statement, Frasure has officially withdrawn from the election process, and his name will not appear on the ballot.

    The general election is set for Tuesday, Nov. 5.
