POCATELLO — Four people were injured in a crash involving a Pocatello Regional Transit bus at a busy local intersection.
The 11:22 a.m. Monday collision between a Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV and the PRT bus occurred at Garrett Way and Moreland Avenue.
The adult male driver of the bus and the adult female driver of the Grand Cherokee were both transported via Pocatello Fire Department ambulances to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
Two passengers on the bus also suffered minor injuries but said they would seek medical attention on their own, according to police.
The driver of the Grand Cherokee was cited for causing the accident by failing to obey a traffic signal, police said.
The wreck shut down the Garrett Way-Moreland Avenue intersection for over an hour.
The crash remains under investigation by Pocatello police.
