Domino's Pizza

A Domino's pictured in Idaho Falls shows what the Montpelier location will look like when it's finished this summer.

MONTPELIER — The popular pizza chain Domino's is set to open a location in Montpelier later this year.

Devin Skinner, the owner of the building at 803 Washington St. in Montpelier where the pizza joint will be located, said he expects it to open sometime in June. He said they will likely employ about a dozen people.

"They will be open seven days a week and will do delivery," he said.

Skinner said Domino's will have a positive impact on the economy in Montpelier. It will create new jobs and give people another restaurant to choose from.

"I think it will be good to have some other food options," he said.

Skinner said the building where Domino's will be located has been vacant for about seven years and it is going to be redone.

"I think it's neat that that building is going to be turned into something new," he said.

Skinner said he and his sister, Amanda Sears, showed the people at Domino's several different possible locations for the restaurant before they chose that one.

"It was a month-long process," he said. "My sister and I were showing them a bunch of properties."
