Digital transition hits snags

President-elect Barack Obama is urging Congress to delay the Feb. 17 switch from analog to digital television broadcasting.

In a letter to key lawmakers last week, Obama said many Americans who rely on analog TV sets to pick up over-the-air channels won't be ready.

But local retailers said residents are prepared, it's the government that has dropped the ball.
