Beware of cougars
Beware of cougars

POCATELLO - Idaho State University's Public Safety Office has reported that cougars were seen on the Red Hill Trails at approximately 8 p.m. Friday, prompting the posting of warning signs.

The public is asked to avoid the area in the early morning and late evening hours. Public Safety did not know how many cougars were spotted. Several sightings occurred this spring in the hills to the west of town. Two juvenile mountain lions were killed in separate incidents on Interstate 15 in early April.
