POCATELLO — A local woman is dead after the SUV she was driving collided with two parked vehicles early Friday morning on a Pocatello street, police said.
The Bannock County Coroner’s Office identified the woman killed in the crash as Rayne Rose-Marie Singer, 26, of Fort Hall.
The 12:10 a.m. Friday crash occurred on Jefferson Avenue just north of East Cedar Street.
Singer was the SUV’s only occupant and had to be extricated from her wrecked vehicle by emergency responders, police said. She was taken via Pocatello Fire Department ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Pocatello police said witnesses reported that the SUV was traveling “at a high rate of speed” when it struck an unoccupied parked pickup truck and sedan and then left the roadway.
All three vehicles suffered extensive damage and were likely totaled, police said.
Jefferson Avenue was closed for several hours because of the crash.
The wreck remains under investigation by Pocatello police with assistance from Idaho State Police.
