POCATELLO - Idaho State University has a new and influential group of supporters in its effort to establish a medical education program in the Gem State.

Pocatello Mayor Roger Chase, Chubbuck Mayor Steven England and 10 other mayors from throughout the state publicly voiced support for an Idaho medical education program on Thursday.

Chase wrote in a letter to the Journal that he supports a plan to produce doctors through a new cost-effective program.
