IDAHO FALLS - A Bancroft man who was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center Oct. 16 after suffering a hunting mishap in a mountainous area east of Palisades Reservoir was released from the hospital earlier this week.
The 40-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was hunting in the Poker Peak area on horseback. As spokesman for Bonneville County Search and Rescue said the man's horse stumbled in the steep terrain, throwing the man and then falling on him.
Search and Rescue members reached the man the morning after his incident. Due to the rugged terrain, it was necessary to airlift the man to the hospital.
