POCATELLO - The International Association of Administrative Professionals awarded Anne Nichols the certified administrative professional rating. Nichols, who is Pocatello Mayor Roger Chase's assistant, was presented with a certificate of appreciation from Chase and the Pocatello City Council Feb. 12.

"Anne is a great asset to the city and our staff," Chase said. "She is always willing to go the extra mile in whatever assignment we give her and is very deserving of this distinguished designation."

Since 1942, IAAP has set the standard for all secretarial professionals and in 1951, it initiated the certified professional secretary program. Similar to a CPA or Ph.D., the CAP holder can use the designation on business correspondence, business cards and other appropriate professional and business areas.
