The Pocatello Fire Department responded to a fire in a residence at 441 S. Main St. in Pocatello on Friday around 10 p.m., according to the Pocatello Fire Department.

Authorities said a couch in the living room of a duplex caught on fire. Firefighters put the fire out within a few minutes of arriving. Part of South Main Street was closed temporarily as firefighters extinguished the fire.

No one was injured. The fire caused some damage to contents in the home and also smoke damage. But there was no structural damage to the home.

The couch was destroyed. It was moved to the sidewalk in front of the residence.
