POCATELLO - A two-session meteorology defense/seminar is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Intermountain Network Scientific Computation Center.

According to a press release, the schedule will include:

- June 23: Yali Luo, candidate for the doctoral degree, will present the topic, "Evaluation of Cloud Properties in Atmospheric Models Using Cloud-Scale Observations." Committee members include Steve Krueger (chair), Jay Mace, Jan Paegle, Ed Zipser and Hua-Lu Pan.

- June 24: "A Unified Model Approach to Operational Weather and Climate Forecast" will feature Dr. Hua-Lu Pan, branch chief, Global Modeling Branch of Environmental Modeling Center /National Centers for Environmental Prediction.
