The daughter of Montana State men's basketball head coach Brian Fish died Friday in Florida.

One day later, Fish and the Bobcats beat Idaho 86-72 in Bozeman, Montana.

No details have emerged regarding the death of Caryssa Fish, 29. But Brian Fish, MSU's fifth-year head coach, told reporters after Saturday's game "there was no bigger fan of the Bobcats than my daughter."

"I told everybody in the locker room, there’s someone special in their life, to make sure they call them or text them tonight, tell them thanks," Fish said. "Because for the first time in my life, I don’t have a text waiting for me, telling me ‘Great job Dad, you’re my hero.’”

The win was MSU's third in a row. The Bobcats are in fourth place in the Big Sky Conference standings and play Thursday at Idaho State.
