Treyshon Malone broke Idaho State's all-time indoor long jump record to kick off the 2019 Weber State Wildcat Indoor Invitational on Friday in Ogden, Utah.

On his sixth attempt, Malone jumped a record 7.66 meters (25 feet, 1.5 inches). He broke a record previously set in 1998 by ISU's Stefan Von Campe. This also broke the Stromberg Arena facility record. The mark puts him in sole possession of first place in the Big Sky and ranks him No. 14 in the NCAA.

The meet continues Saturday Jan. 25 beginning at 10 a.m.
