POCATELLO - The Idaho State football team's offensive coordinator Mike Orthmann will not return to the team next season, head coach John Zamberlin said Monday.

Quarterbacks coach Brian Jensen will serve as the interim offensive coordinator while Idaho State conducts a search for a permanent replacement. Zamberlin said he would like to make a decision on the position within the next few weeks, and because of the tight timeframe, Jensen currently is the front-runner for the job.

In the interim, Jensen will continue to serve as quarterbacks coach, while assistant coach Mike Havens will take over Orthmann's work coaching the offensive line.

Zamberlin said he and Orthmann mutually agreed it would be best for Orthmann not to return.
