DAYTON - American Falls withstood West Side's fourth-quarter charge to pull out a 31-28 win Friday at West Side.

The Beavers led 23-18 at the end of the third quarter. The Pirates outscored them 10-8 in the final period, but the Beavers held on at the end.

"Just finishing strong, that's the hardest part," American Falls coach Brekelle Deeg said.

Jess Swanson scored nine points to lead the Beavers. American Falls (4-13) next travels to play Marsh Valley on Wednesday.
