POCATELLO — The Idaho State University Bengal Dancers recently returned home with a top-five national finish after competing at the National Dance Alliance Collegiate Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The team placed 5th overall, competing against hundreds of collegiate programs from across the country — many of which never advance to the national stage or finals. For Head Coach Kolissa Manchan and her squad, the result underscores the caliber of athlete ISU has been developing within its dance program.

The Bengal Dancers train year-round and credit community support — from local sponsors to fans who fill the stands at performances — as a driving force behind their success.

With nationals behind them, the team is already setting its sights on next season. Tryouts for the 2026–2027 Bengal Dancers will be held May 1–2. The registration deadline is April 24.
