Hazards include gusts of 30 to 40 MPH, pea to dime size hail, lightning and heavy rainfall.

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include Soda Springs, southern Blackfoot Reservoir, Grace and Conda.

This includes portions of Highway 30 and Highway 34.

POWERFUL THUNDERSTORM HEADING FOR POCATELLO

A strong thunderstorm is tracking northeast toward the south end of Pocatello and the Portneuf Gap.

At 5:15 PM Friday, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm just southwest of Pocatello, moving east northeast at 30 MPH.

Hazards include wind gusts in excess of 45 MPH and penny size hail.

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include Pocatello and Portneuf Gap.

This includes portions of Interstate 15 and Highway 30.

At 5:18 PM Friday, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Fort Hall Mount Putnam, or 8 miles northwest of Chesterfield Reservoir, moving east at 30 MPH.

Hazards include wind gusts in excess of 45 MPH and half inch hail.

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include Northern Blackfoot Reservoir, Cutthroat Trout Campground and Trail Creek Campground.

THUNDERSTORM HEADED FOR AMERICAN FALLS, POCATELLO AIRPORT

A strong thunderstorm will impact Northwestern Bannock and Central Power counties through 5:15 p.m. Friday.

At 4:43 PM Friday, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over American Falls, moving northeast at 30 MPH.

Hazards include wind gusts in excess of 45 MPH and penny size hail.

Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include American Falls, Neeley, American Falls Reservoir, Fort Hall Bannock Creek Lodge, and Pocatello Airport.

This includes portions of Interstate 86.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM EXPECTED TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO VEHICLES

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Caribou County, North Central Bannock County, East Central Power County and South Central Bingham County in Southeastern Idaho until 5 PM Friday.

At 4:30 PM Saturday, a severe thunderstorm was located over northeastern Pocatello, moving northeast at 35 MPH.

Hazards include quarter size hail.

Damage to vehicles is expected.

Locations impacted include Pocatello, Chubbuck and Fort Hall Putnam Lodge.

This includes portions of Interstate 86, Interstate 15 and Highway 30.

Dangerous driving conditions are possible due to large hail and torrential rainfall.

Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from windows.

ANOTHER SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING IN EFFECT

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southwestern Power County and Eastern Cassia County in Southeastern Idaho until 5:15 PM Friday.

At 4:23 PM Friday, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles southeast of Malta, moving northeast at 35 mph.

Hazards include half dollar size hail.

Damage to vehicles is expected.

Locations impacted include Malta, Bridge and Sublett Reservoir.
