POCATELLO — Pocatello Animal Services is pleased to report that all 10 puppies remaining in its care have continued to test negative for the parvovirus. Following extensive disinfection and containment measures, the shelter is safe to reopen.

The shelter will resume normal business hours starting Tuesday. While the shelter is reopening to the public for adoptions and other services, volunteer activities will remain suspended until further notice out of an abundance of caution.

The 10 puppies are still under evaluation and will not be immediately available for adoption. The shelter anticipates they will be ready for adoption in the near future once they are cleared by the shelter veterinarian.

The shelter sincerely appreciates the community’s patience, understanding and support as it worked to manage this situation.

Stop WASTING my hard earned taxpayer money.

Sorry but,

I think all the Shelter’s expenses should be payed by the current pet owners ONLY.

So there have to be a NEW pet tax if you want to keep this boondoggle open and running.

Have a nice day.
