LEGACY PARK - HYDROSEEDING 2025

POCATELLO — The city of Pocatello Parks & Recreation Department has announced the temporary closure of Legacy Park, located at 3350 Iron Bend Road, for the remainder of the 2025 growing season to allow for final grading and hydroseeding.

Legacy Park, a 4.82-acre park, is currently under development. This closure marks a key step in the park’s progress, allowing time for turf establishment and initial landscaping. In spring 2026, additional features, including a paved trail, parking lot and new playground, will be installed.

“We are excited to continue developing this beautiful new park for the community, and a special thank you goes to the Satterfield Family for their generous property donation, which is helping make Legacy Park a reality,” said Parks & Recreation Director Anne Butler.

To ensure successful turf growth and protect the newly seeded areas, the park will be closed to all public access, including UTVs, motorized vehicles and foot traffic, beginning immediately. The public is kindly asked to avoid the area so that the work can be completed safely and efficiently.
