POCATELLO — The Idaho State University Chapter 110 of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi has been recognized with Circle of Excellence Gold Status for 2018-19 by the national Phi Kapp Phi.

The ISU chapter was recognized for its work through the Circle of Honor Chapter Awards Program that recognizes chapters for their work in promoting excellence on the local campus and engaging the community of scholars each year. The awards uses data already submitted by the chapter to the national office regarding yearly activities and initiation efforts.

ISU President Kevin Satterlee will receive an official letter announcing the award from Phi Kappa Phi Executive Director Mary Todd. Chapters achieving the Gold Circle of Excellence status may elect either a $200 cash award or a Student Leadership Summit registration grant.

The Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 110 was installed at ISU in 1970. The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest, most selective and most prestigious all-discipline honor society.

The society is proud of its record of helping members advance their education and serve their community through various programs. Members are eligible for one or more of the Society’s grants and awards such as the Fellowship Program for graduate studies, or the Love of Learning and Literacy awards for faculty members.
