EAST IDAHO — The Idaho Community Foundation has awarded $57,100 through the spring cycle of the Ifft Foundation Fund to support seven community projects in Southeastern Idaho. The grants will help communities enhance public spaces, expand recreation opportunities and invest in projects that improve the quality of life across the region.

Established within ICF, the Ifft Foundation Fund supports projects that strengthen communities in Southeastern Idaho, with a focus on beautification, public recreation, education, history, the arts and other efforts that enrich public life. This spring's awards reflect that legacy by funding projects that create welcoming public places, improve accessibility, and encourage community use and stewardship.

"The Ifft Foundation Fund has made a lasting difference in Southeastern Idaho by helping communities invest in projects that make the region more vibrant, welcoming and beautiful," said Steve Burns, President and CEO of the Idaho Community Foundation. "These grants support the kinds of community-centered improvements that residents can see, use and enjoy for years to come."

Spring 2026 recipients:

Bannock County

— Friends of Edson Fichter Nature Area — $4,250 to beautify the entrance to the nature area with a new sign recognizing contributions and partnerships that support education and stewardship projects.

— NeighborWorks Pocatello — $10,000 for landscaping improvements to Caldwell Park.

— NeighborWorks Pocatello — $3,650 to purchase holiday lights for Lookout Point.

— Portneuf Greenway Foundation Inc. — $4,000 to construct a permanent rest area with a concrete pad and canopy near the Portneuf Greenway and Bannock County Event Center.

— Portneuf Valley Partners Inc. — $10,000 to help build a community garden, including site excavation, fencing, garden plots and irrigation.

— Shoshone-Bannock Tribes — $10,000 to enhance the Meditation Garden with site preparation, native plantings, accessible pathways, a planter, mulch and ADA-compliant benches.

Bingham County

— City of Aberdeen — $5,600 to purchase additional planters and flowers that will beautify downtown Aberdeen and create a more attractive space for visitors.

Power County

— County of Power, Class A School District 381 — $9,600 to install sand volleyball courts and plant trees that will beautify the recreation area and provide a natural windbreak at American Falls High School.
