The "extremely dangerous" teenage suspect wanted in connection with a Blackfoot homicide has been spotted in Chubbuck, police said.

Bobby G. Jackson, 16, was sighted in the area of Walmart in Chubbuck around 3 p.m. Thursday, police said in an early Friday morning text message alert to the public.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Jackson on a charge of second-degree murder.

Jackson is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a light-colored plaid shirt with a black T-shirt underneath, blue jeans with bleached spots on the legs and cowboy boots, police said.

Police are warning the public that Jackson is "extremely dangerous" and possibly armed. Anyone who sees him should immediately call 911. Jackson should not be approached under any circumstances, police said.

Local residents are being urged to keep their doors locked and to immediately report anything suspicious to police as the law enforcement search for Jackson intensifies.

The homicide investigation began Thursday morning when officers from the Blackfoot Police Department responded to a report of a deceased individual in south Blackfoot. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the presence of a body and detectives from the Bingham County Joint Detective Division immediately launched a homicide investigation.

Police quickly identified Jackson as the suspect and issued a news release Thursday night stating that he may have left the Blackfoot area.

The Chubbuck sighting confirmed he was in the region as of Thursday afternoon.

Jackson was earlier seen near the intersection of Highway 91 and Riverton Road south of Blackfoot at approximately 12:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.
