ABERDEEN - The Aberdeen boys' basketball team received a huge night from Aaron Schritter on the way to a 52-38 win over Ririe on Friday.

Schritter scored 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead the Tigers.

"Aaron Schritter was an animal," said Aberdeen coach Quinn Aldous. "He really stepped up."

After leading 25-19 at halftime, the Tigers pulled away with a 20-8 advantage in the third quarter, which allowed Aldous to rest many of his regulars in the fourth.

To go with Schritter's strong play, Trevor Spence added eight points and eight rebounds for Aberdeen.

Tonight, the Tigers (7-2, 1-0 2A Fifth District) will travel to Firth to take on the two-time defending 2A state champions. It'll be the third game in three nights for Aberdeen.

"We're gonna have to take care of the ball," Aldous said. "We're gonna have to be tough on the boards and be very, very disciplined."
