GIOVANNI DELAROSA

Guest cartoonist

This cartoon was created by Giovanni DeLaRosa, a senior, honor student and Associated Student Body President at Grace Lutheran High School in Pocatello. This summer Giovanni was a student of professor Peter Kuper, a famed American illustrator and cartoonist whose illustrations and editorial original art have appeared regularly in The New Yorker, Mad magazine and publications around the globe. Giovanni fine-tuned his skills in cartooning and satire during his time with Kuper. Giovanni's future plans are to attend college next fall, continue working on illustrations, and to help senior citizens with memory retention. Giovanni has spent the past three years researching ways to improve memory preservation in senior citizens. He has been invited to share his research on memory retention at two international meetings focused on tackling the growing problem of Dementia and memory loss in seniors.
