POCATELLO — The owner of Ashley’s Beauty Hall is spending her new year giving back to the community after helping local families in need during the Christmas season.

Ashley Hall said she plans to serve the community every month in 2026. For January, she wants to raise money to pay overdue balances for school lunches.

“Next month, I’m planning on doing the animal shelter,” Hall said. “I was thinking about Aid for Friends and a couple other local charities.”

Hall, who owns the beauty salon located at 345 Yellowstone Ave. Suite B, started her community giveback during the Christmas season with a drive where people could sponsor families in need.

“I ended up helping 115 kids,” Hall said. “There were 40 families.”

Hall said she was motivated to give back because she was raised by a single mother and remembers watching her struggle to provide.

“I know it’s a needed thing and that people are struggling,” Hall said. “It’s a way to teach my kids that it’s more about giving than what they receive.”

People can donate to her fundraiser through Venmo or Cash App, and a portion of the money she earns on her Facebook page will also go toward the fund, Hall said.

“At the end of the month, I’ll tally it up and on the first of February, I’ll donate it,” Hall said.

A few people have donated so far, but Hall said she hopes to raise more throughout the month.

“So far, I’m close to $100 between my contribution and theirs,” Hall said.
