SNAKE RIVER 42, TETON 24

Teton led No. 1 Snake River 17-7 in the second quarter, but the Panthers rallied and rolled to a 42-24 win Friday in Driggs.

Panthers quarterback Sean Miller was picked off twice, and Snake struggled attacking Teton through the air. Not a problem, though. The Panthers leaned on senior all-state running back Wyatt Vogler.

Vogler carried the ball 26 times for 154 yards and four touchdowns. Luke Albertson added 15 carries for 85 yards and one score.

Snake River (7-0, 1-0 3A District 5) plays Friday at Marsh Valley.

BLACKFOOT 54, POCATELLO 7

Jager Leavitt ran for 141 yards and four touchdowns in Blackfoot’s 54-7 win against Pocatello (3-5, 1-3 4A District 5-6) on Friday at home.

Pocatello quarterback Kobee Gunter completed 19 of 50 passes for 143 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

The Broncos jumped out to a 33-0 lead by half. Blackfoot quarterback Pacen Hayes tossed three interceptions, but his team’s power running game scored six touchdowns

Blackfoot (4-4, 2-1) hosts Rigby on Friday.

AMERICAN FALLS 40, MARSH VALLEY 34

American Falls scored the game-winning touchdown with less than two minutes to play in the Beavers 40-34 victory against Marsh Valley on Friday at home.

Luis Cervantes bounded into the end zone from 33 yards out with 1:42 remaining in the fourth quarter. It was part of a 273-yard, four-touchdown performance for Cervantes and was the first lead of the game for American Falls.

AF finished with 543 total yards of offense, and there were a combined six turnovers in the game. The Beavers’ Tate Grove had 104 rushing yards and Russel Adkins added 92 yards on the ground.

American Falls (4-3, 1-1 3A District 5) hosts Declo on Friday, and Marsh Valley (2-5, 0-1) hosts Snake River.

SUGAR-SALEM 16, SHELLEY 6

No. 3 Sugar-Salem ran for 233 yards and upended Shelley 16-6 Friday in Sugar City.

Derek Ostermiller ran 30 times, 174 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, the Diggers held Shelley to 166 total yards of offense, including 97 yards on the ground. Jonathon Carranza led the Russets with 76 rushing yards.

The Bears host Malad on Thursday and Soda Springs (1-6, 1-2) hosts Aberdeen.

NORTH FREMONT 38, FIRTH 20

North Fremont’s Tanner Oberhansley scored four times and North Fremont knocked off Firth 38-20 Friday in Ashton.

Oberhansley finished with 300 yards on 24 carries.

Firth (3-4, 1-2 3A District 6) hosts Ririe on Friday and North Fremont (4-3) hosts Salmon.

RAFT RIVER 50, GRACE 28

Grace lost 50-28 at Raft River on Friday.

“It was just tough. We battled with them. We were trading scores,” said Grace coach Brandon Sanchez. “They got one over the top of us going into halftime on the last play. ... That kind of took the momentum away from us.”

Grace (5-2, 3-0 1A DI District 5-6) plays Friday at Butte County. If the Grizzlies win, they take the district championship.

NORTH GEM 68, WATERSPRINGS 32

North Gem was dominant in a 68-32 win at Watersprings on Friday in Idaho Falls.

Cowboys senior Dallin Lloyd ran the ball nine times for 260 yards and three touchdowns. Lloyd added another touchdown on a 70-yard kickoff return. Junior quarterback Walker Davids ran for 60 yards and a touchdown and threw for 78 yards and a TD.

North Gem (5-2, 2-1 1A DII District 5-6) has a bye next week and enters the high school playoffs Oct. 31.

CLARK COUNTY 42, ROCKLAND 26

Sophomore quarterback Spencer Permann ran for 240 yards and threw for another 122 yards in Rockland’s 42-26 loss to Clark County on Friday at home.

Permann accounted for three rushing touchdowns and threw one TD to Paxton Boyer, a 45-yard bomb.

“He was in beat mode,” said Rockland coach Lance Freeman. “His third touchdown in the fourth quarter, I think he ran over every player from Clark.”

Cooper Bradshaw added 24 yards on the ground, and Reed Petersen had 57 yards receiving.

Rockland (0-7, 0-3 1A DII District 5-6) was scheduled to play Mackay next week. But that game was canceled, and the Bulldogs are seeking another opponent.
