Marsh Valley girls soccer doesn't know how to lose right now.

The Eagles (7-1-1, 6-0 4A South East Idaho Conference) throttled Snake River 6-1 at home Wednesday, stretching their winning streak to five games and their unbeaten run to seven — still spotless in conference play. Olivia Medina led the way with a hat trick, and Isabelle Bastian, Ava Saxton and McKelle East each chipped in a goal.

The Indians (8-2, 4-2 4A South East Idaho Conference) led 9-0 at half Wednesday. Brielle Biggs had three goals, and Abby Casperson and Mesa Remund each added two. Jane Bell and Biggs each had three assists.

Highland 1, Rigby 1

Highland (4-4-1, 1-0-1 6A High Country Conference) played Rigby to a draw at home Tuesday in a league game. Lexi Vawdrey scored off a long ball from goalkeeper Eve Dixon before Highland conceded an own goal to finish it 1-1.

Pocatello 2, Idaho Falls 1

Pocatello (8-2, 8-2 5A High Country Conference) picked up its fourth straight win on the road Tuesday. Ary Gonzalez and Xavi Griggs each scored, with Brynlee Pool assisting on Griggs' goal.

Blackfoot 4, Bonneville 3

Blackfoot (2-6, 2-6 5A High Country Conference) snapped a five-game skid Tuesday. Jayda Thurgood scored twice, once off a free kick and once off a penalty kick. Avery Boyce added a goal off a Keanna Conrad assist, and Oaklee Ward scored the game-winner, also assisted by Conrad.

Marsh Valley (6-1-1, 5-0 4A South East Idaho Conference) routed American Falls at home Monday, extending its winning streak to four and its unbeaten run to six. Isabelle Bastian led with four goals, and Paizley Crouch added two.

Preston (7-2, 3-2 4A South East Idaho Conference) dropped a home decision Monday. Laura Silva scored off a Danica Shumway assist.

Highland 5, Skyline 4

Highland (4-4, 1-0 6A High Country Conference) held off Skyline on the road Saturday for its third straight win. Skyline led 1-0 before Taryn Roth tied it off a Presley Kapp assist. Lexi Vawdrey scored three times, with assists from Lyric Lacey and twice from Laynie Kunz, but Skyline answered each time to tie it, including an own goal that made it 4-4. Kunz scored the game-winner to complete the comeback.

Marsh Valley beat Preston at home Saturday. Isabelle Bastian had three goals, and Paizley Crouch added one. Brielle Biggs scored Preston's lone goal.

Highland outlasted Thunder Ridge on the road Tuesday in conference play, 22-25, 23-25, 26-24, 32-30, 15-7. Mylee Stucki led with 19 kills, and Kylee Mickelson added 17. Britt Reno quarterbacked the offense with 45 assists.

Pocatello goes 2-2 at Wood River Invitational

Pocatello (12-6, 1-0 5A HCC) battled through a stomach bug and the absence of its varsity setter at the round-robin Wood River Invitational in Hailey, dropping its first two matches Friday before rallying to win Saturday. The Thunder lost to Twin Falls and Timberline, both 0-3, then found their footing with JV call-up Emeri Wadsworth running the offense, beating Wood River and Kuna, both 3-2.

Lucy Tuia led the tournament with 43 kills, 30 digs and five blocks. Taylee Silcock added 34 kills, 14 aces and 29 blocks. Emeri Wadsworth, stepping in from JV, finished with 124 assists and 32 digs.

Sugar-Salem 3, Blackfoot 0

Blackfoot dropped a road match Thursday, 25-19, 25-21, 25-19. Addie Arave had 12 kills, Madden Werhle added eight, and Keslyn Reid had six. Blakely Ball ran the offense with 31 assists.

Tiger/Grizz Invitational (Sept. 11, Freeman Park)

In the boys Varsity A race, Century's Ammon Bitton and Ethan Hansen went 1-2 individually (16:05.5, 16:18.0), leading the Diamondbacks to fifth as a team behind Rigby, Blackfoot, Skyline and Bishop Kelly. Blackfoot's Owen Gregory was fifth overall (16:47.5), and Highland's Spencer Smith was ninth (16:58.0).

In Varsity B, Malad was the top local team, taking second behind Sugar-Salem, led by Jace Nalder in third (16:58.8) and Braun Nalder in seventh (17:48.2). Soda Springs' Reuben Uskoski was fifth (17:35.3).

On the girls side, Highland was the top local team in Varsity A, taking fifth, led by Makenzie Tucker in fourth overall (19:49.5). Century's Adyson DeClark was 11th (21:00.2).

In Varsity B, Snake River won the team title, with Soda Springs' Anna Uskoski winning the race outright (20:14.2) and Snake River's Paetyn Polatis second (20:25.1). Preston's Taryn Campbell was fifth (20:48.1), and Malad's Brielle Nalder and Aezlyn Summers were seventh and eighth (21:03.4, 21:12.1).

Swimming

Century edges Highland by a single point at Century Invitational

Century topped the combined team standings at its home invitational Saturday, 694-693 over Highland, with Bonneville (590) and Canyon Ridge (561) rounding out the four-team field. Century won the girls side comfortably (465-213 over Highland), while Highland ran away with the boys team title (480-229 over Century).

Century's Payson Johns won the 500 freestyle (5:39.15) and 100 breaststroke (1:15.83) and anchored the Diamondbacks' winning girls 200 medley, 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays. Salem Peterson added a win in the 200 IM (2:51.74), and Noah Hunt won the boys 500 freestyle (5:14.81).

Highland's Gareth Jones won the boys 50 freestyle (23.40) and 100 butterfly (58.93), and Cooper Hoopes took the 200 freestyle (1:53.49); both were part of Highland's winning boys 200 medley, 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays. Scotlyn Vereecken won the girls 50 freestyle (27.78), and Gyan Tacadena won the boys 100 breaststroke (1:08.79).
