Idaho State men’s basketball coach Ryan Looney has announced the addition of 6-foot-6 forward Coreyoun Rushin to the roster for the upcoming season.

“We are excited about the addition of Coreyoun Rushin to our program,” Looney said. “He is a great athlete that impacts the game in many ways. More importantly, he is an accomplished student and a fantastic teammate.”

Rushin, who hails from Chicago, will be a sophomore for the 2019-20 season. During his freshman campaign at the College of Southern Idaho he scored a season-high 23 points against Colorado Northwestern and played a season-high 35 minutes at Indian Hills Community College. Against Indian Hills he had a season-best 13 rebounds.

Rushin shot 63.5% from the field while averaging 7.3 rebounds and 9.5 points a game. Rushin also earned honorable mention all-conference.

Rushin is one of six players the Bengals have signed this offseason, along with Nico Aguirre Urrutia, Brayden Parker, Tarik Cool, Jaxon Edelmayer and Malik Porter. All but Cool are CSI transfers.

Landon Bowman, Nick Huston and Daxton Carr are also expected to join the team. It is unknown whether they will be walk-ons or scholarship players.
