Snake River and Aberdeen remain atop the most recent Idaho high school football media poll, which was released Tuesday.

The Panthers (5-0) received eight of nine first-place votes in the 3A poll. Snake opens district play Friday against American Falls. Shelley (3-2) garnered a fifth-place vote and plays Teton (4-1), which nabbed the final first-place vote but was held out of the top five.

In 2A, Aberdeen (5-0) earned six first-place votes and is ranked No. 1 for the fourth straight week. Conference foe West Side (6-0) received two first-place votes. The two teams face off Oct. 16 in Aberdeen.

Highland (5-1) remained at No. 5 in the 5A poll. The Rams play No. 3 Skyline (6-0) on Friday in a District 5-6 showdown. Madison (5-1) is slotted at No. 4.

Grace (4-1) earned three total points in the 1A DI poll but missed the top five by five points. The Grizzlies upset then-No. 5 Butte County 24-19 Friday night. Butte County also garnered three total points this week.
