The Tennessee Titans have one of the NFL’s most respected special teams coordinators and a kicker with a strong leg. Yet they’re struggling mightily when it comes to kickoffs. New coach Robert Saleh says the Titans need to get better at making opponents return kickoffs. The Titans are worst in the NFL with 66.7% touchbacks on kickoffs. The rest of the league is averaging 16.8% with the next-highest team the Carolina Panthers at 38.5%. The average starting field position after kickoffs is at the 37-yard line for the Titans’ opponents and is tied with Miami for the NFL’s worst. The Titans visit the Giants on Sunday.
