Preston's Jessika Alder signed her National Letter of Intent on March 5 to continue her softball career at Treasure Valley Community College.
She accepted a one-year guarantee with just under half of her tuition being paid. After meeting the coaches and visiting campus, the Preston senior had no doubts about choosing the Chukars. Alder also decided on perusing a softball career instead of basketball.
“I was good with going to play either sport, but I have always had a special love for the game of softball,” Alder said. “I love the teams and friendships you build. It also helps me to be mentally tough, and it’s just been a way for me to escape anything difficult in my life.”
Alder said the support she has received throughout the years is the cornerstone to her success. She is looking forward to continuing that success at the next level.
“I would love to thank my coaches throughout all my softball years for pushing me and helping me grow every practice and every game,” Alder said. “My family and friends also have a huge impact because they make it possible for me to play softball.”
