MARSH VALLEY 54, SNAKE RIVER 49

Marsh Valley rallied from a halftime deficit to beat Snake River 54-49 on the road Monday. The win forces a winner-take-all 3A District 5 championship game Tuesday at Marsh Valley.

The Eagles trailed 21-17 at halftime and outscored the Panthers 37-28 the rest of the way.

“Our boys battled all night,” Marsh Valley coach Jason Brower said. “Everybody was involved in this win. It was a win with the help of our community.”

Jacob McNabb poured in a game-high 24 points for the Eagles (15-9). Porter Albertson scored 13 points for Snake River (14-8).

NORTH FREMONT 59, FIRTH 30

Firth’s season ended Monday with a 59-30 loss to North Fremont in the 2A District 6 tournament at South Fremont High School.

Firth was shut out, 22-0, in the first quarter and never recovered.

The Cougars finished the season 12-12.

ROCKLAND 52, CLARK COUNTY 15

Rockland kept its season alive Monday, beating Clark County 52-15 in a loser-out game of the 1A DII District 5-6 tournament at Firth High School.

The Bulldogs led 17-0 after the opening quarter and never looked back.

“We know our backs are against the wall, we’ve got to come ready to pay every game or the season’s done,” Rockland coach Shae Neal said. “We take it one game at a time and do our job and battle on.”

Pratt Matthews poured in 14 points for the Bulldogs (15-9), who play another loser-out game Tuesday against Watersprings.

WATERSPRINGS 71, SHO-BAN 22

Sho-Ban’s season ended Monday with a 71-22 loss to Watersprings in the 1A DII District 5-6 tournament at Firth High School.

The Chiefs trailed 46-2 at halftime.

Jayvis Friday hit four 3-pointers and scored 16 points for Sho-Ban, which ended the season 4-19.
