POCATELLO REBELS 22, SODA SPRINGS 3 (3)

The Single-A Pocatello Rebels went 2-0 on the road Saturday, beating Soda Springs 15-9 and 22-3 in three innings.

In the opener, the Rebels scored in all but one inning. Their seven-run fifth extended their 5-4 lead to 12-4.

In the nightcap, the Rebels plated 18 runs in the second frame. Ethan Ellis had a home run and three RBIs.

The Rebels (10-15-2) play a doubleheader Sunday at Twin Falls.

Seth Nate threw a one-hitter as the Double-A Pocatello Runnin Rebels beat Columbia Basin (Washington) 9-0 in five innings at a tournament in Bozeman, Montana.

Nate’s perfect game was broken up with two outs in the fifth. He walked the next batter and ended the game with a strikeout — his fourth.

Dylan Jester and Jaxon Christensen each had three hits and two RBIs for the Runnin Rebels (21-12), who finish play at the tournament Sunday.
