CHUBBUCK — Idaho State Police are investigating a crash that occurred at 8:46 p.m. Wednesday on northbound I-15 at milepost 73.

A 47-year-old man, from Brigham City, UT was traveling northbound on I-15 in a 2022 white Kenworth semi-truck. A white box truck, driven by an unknown driver, merged in front of Kenworth. To avoid collision, the Kenworth semi-truck veered to the right and collided with an impact attenuator where it came to a stop, blocking the lane of travel on the I-15 Northgate off-ramp.

The northbound Northgate off-ramp of I-15 has been blocked for approximately 3 hours and is still blocked as crews work to assist those at scene.

Idaho State Police were assisted by Bannock County Sheriff’s Office, Pocatello Police Department, Bannock County Ambulance 3 and Engine 3, and the Idaho Department of Transportation.
