POCATELLO — Since its founding in 1999, Idaho State University’s International Choral Festival has brought an ensemble of diverse singing groups from three continents to the area to share their talents, foster international connection and fill the ISU halls, corridors and campus with world-class music.

The triennial global music celebration will feature a series of concert performances July 15-18 set on the ISU Quad and in Goranson Recital Hall, culminating in a grand finale gala concert at the Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the Stephens Performing Arts Center.

Attendees can experience a global and cultural musical adventure on stage through a variety of venues across the ISU campus, providing a special opportunity for students, families and music aficionados to participate in the “universal language of music that unites different cultures and nationalities.”

The culturally diverse concerts begin at 7 p.m. July 15 at the Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the Stephens Performing Arts Center and feature performances from the ISU Alumni Chamber Choir, the California-based Spring Women’s Choir, the Kazakhstan-based Chorus of Change and the Utah-based Salt Lake Chinese Choir.

Performances in Goranson Hall at the ISU Fine Arts Building feature the New Jersey-based Huaxia Chinese Chorus of New Jersey, the Lithuania-based Boys’ Choir Dagilelis and the ISU Alumni Chamber Choir.

The following day, July 16, kicks off with a free concert at 11:30 a.m. on the ISU Quad featuring the Spring Women’s Choir, Boys’ Choir Dagilelis and the Huaxia Chinese Chorus of New Jersey.

Community concerts continue that night starting at 7 p.m. in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall and feature the Chorus of Change, Salt Lake Chinese Choir and Boys’ Choir Dagilelis.

Performances at Goranson Hall feature the Spring Women’s Choir, the Idaho-based High School Honor Choir and the Huaxia Chinese Chorus of New Jersey.

At 11:30 a.m. July 17, another free outdoor concert will be held on the ISU Quad featuring the Salt Lake Chinese Choir, Chorus of Change and High School Honor Choir.

The community concerts kick off once again at 7 p.m. in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall and feature Boys’ Choir Dagilelis, Huaxia Chinese Chorus of New Jersey and High School Honor Choir.

Goranson Hall will host performances by the Salt Lake Chinese Choir, Spring Women’s Choir and Chorus of Change.

The International Choral Festival culminates in a final grand gala concert at 7 p.m. in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall July 18.

The gala features final performances from Boys’ Choir Dagilelis, Chorus of Change, High School Honor Choir, Huaxia Chinese Chorus of New Jersey, ISU Alumni Chamber Choir, Salt Lake Chinese Choir and Spring Women’s Choir.
