Six school district levies and one bond were passed on Tuesday night, while two other bonds appear to have failed.

The American Falls School District was seeking two bonds, one for $12.5 million to build a new elementary school, and one for $1.6 million to build an auxiliary gym at the high school. But both of those failed.

Although more people voted for than against both levies — 740 to 435 for the elementary school bond and 598 to 565 for the auxiliary gym bond — neither garnered the super-majority needed to pass.

Aberdeen School District’s request for an $11.85 million bond to build a new high school was approved on Tuesday. There were 298 votes cast in favor of that bond and 146 against.

Several levies also passed on Tuesday.

Arbon Elementary School District’s request for $25,000 each year for two years was approved with a 40 to 6 vote. Rockland School District’s request for $210,000 each year for two years was also approved with a vote of 110 in favor and 33 against.

Other levies that passed on Tuesday include: North Gem School District, $400,000 each year for two years (190 in favor, 110 against); Grace School District, $300,000 for one year (286 in favor, 96 against); Firth School District, $130,000 each year for two years (292 in favor, 108 against); and Shelley School District, $575,000 each year for two years (466 in favor, 222 against).
