POCATELLO — Local restoration company Servpro will give back to the community by hosting a free skate night at Deleta Skating and Family Fun Center for its grand reopening from 5-7 p.m. Saturday.

The Pocatello- and Blackfoot-based Servpro has been in the area for nine years and recently helped Deleta by remodeling the longtime entertainment establishment and assisting in restoring recent water damage to the building.

“We do cleaning, restoration and construction,” said Ryan Mozingo, business development manager for Servpro. “We work with homeowners and business owners to bring back their businesses. When disaster strikes, we’re the ones you call when you have all hell break loose.”

Servpro has been working with Deleta, located at 520 Yellowstone Ave. in Pocatello, for months on the restoration and remodel, renovating everything from flooring, cabinets and drywall to ceilings, backsplash and the concession stand.

“Everybody knows Deleta, they’re such a well-known name,” Mozingo said. “We want to make sure that we can just help the community with such a fun event, but also help Deleta out to help give them back some funds that they were missing out on from being closed.”

To help Deleta, Servpro is paying the full rental fee and renting out the entire space, inviting the entire local community to skate for free. Servpro hopes local residents will spend the money they save at the concession stand to help an establishment that has provided the Gate City with entertainment for decades.

In addition to the free skate night, attendees can submit a raffle ticket for a variety of giveaways from area businesses. From gift cards to Crumbl Cookies, Firehouse Subs and Olive Garden to larger giveaways from companies like ICCU and Les Schwab, guests will have plenty of opportunities to win prizes.

“In working with Servpro, we have quite the opportunity to meet with plenty of businesses to either help them out or build partnerships with them in the community,” Mozingo said. “Servpro is very much about giving back to the community. We have a lot of these great relationships with companies like ICCU, so we reached out to a vast majority of companies all throughout Pocatello, whether local or bigger names, to basically just do a little donation of their own to give back, to help bring enjoyment and excitement to the event and win awesome prizes throughout the night. It’s just a way for these local businesses to help participate in this event without actually having to fully be there for it.”

Mozingo said he appreciates all the area businesses who are sharing in their generosity and their willingness to participate despite the short notice. For Mozingo, the thing that separates Servpro from other restoration companies is its community involvement.

“Servpro has always been community-minded,” Mozingo said. “We’ve always wanted to make sure that we’re well-known in the community, but also that we’re well-known not just for our restoration services, but for the things we do with events and with sponsorships, charity and nonprofits. Servpro wants to make sure that people are well aware that we not only care about (helping restore) their homes, but we care about their place that they live. We care about the businesses they visit. We just care about everything that has to do with Pocatello and the surrounding areas.”
