Retired nurse Alyce Sato said she supports the proposed joint venture with Legacy Hospital Partners for the future of Portneuf Medical Center, but she still has a lot of questions.

PMC and Bannock County officials have hosted several public forums during the past weeks and spoken at numerous service club and government meetings in an effort to help the community understand Bannock County Proposition One. County voters will have the final say Nov. 4 on the measure, which would turn over PMC's assets to the Portneuf Health Care Foundation and eventually a joint venture in a partnership with the Plano, Texas-based Legacy. That joint venture will be called the Community Benefit Organization.
