POCATELLO — A young girl was among the people injured in a four-vehicle crash at a busy Pocatello intersection on Thursday morning.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. at Garrett Way and North Main Street when the adult female driver of a Dodge Caravan minivan failed to stop for a red light, Pocatello police said.

The minivan struck a sedan at the intersection and then a compact SUV, authorities said. The impact then sent the sedan crashing into a full-size van.

Police said three people were injured in the crash — a 4-year-old girl and two adults. All three were rushed via Pocatello Fire Department ambulances to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The crash partially blocked the Garrett Way-North Main Street intersection for over an hour.

Police said they cited and released the driver of the Dodge Caravan for inattentive driving for causing the crash.

None of the names of those involved in the crash have been released.

The wreck remains under investigation by Pocatello police.
