POCATELLO — Police are asking for the public's help in locating the driver of a car who fled the scene of a crash that shut down a busy Old Town intersection.

The two-car collision happened around 10 p.m. Saturday at Arthur Avenue and West Center Street.

One of the vehicles involved in the crash was a blue Chevrolet Cruze. Police said the man driving the Cruze ran from the accident scene immediately after the collision.

Police said the man was wearing jeans and a blue and white striped shirt. If anyone has any information on his whereabouts, please contact Pocatello police immediately at 208-234-6100.  

The driver of the other car involved in the crash was not injured, police said.

Both of the vehicles involved in the crash careened into light poles following the collision.

Police shut down the Arthur and West Center intersection because of the crash but expected to reopen the intersection by 11 p.m. Saturday.
