POCATELLO — Gate City Brewfest returns to historic downtown Pocatello for its 15th year this Saturday.

The pub-crawl-style celebration takes participants through 17 locations across downtown, each featuring a malty menagerie of craft beers, enticing ciders and other delectable drinks.

The beer-soaked blitzkrieg runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Presale tickets are $30 in advance or $40 at the door at gatecitybrewfest.com.

Tickets include unlimited pours, a Brewfest sampling mug, complimentary snacks, live entertainment and complimentary transportation via the downtown trolley.

Ticket sales and online check-in begin at noon at Center Street Clubhouse, Pocatello Elks Lodge and the Downtown Center at Lookout Point.

The weekend kicks off with the official Wanderlust pre-party March 13 from 5 p.m. to midnight. Patrons can pre-purchase tickets, enjoy a tap takeover from Melvin and Roadhouse brewing companies and enjoy the musical stylings of Tessa Cates from 7 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

The First National Bar will feature a lineup of musicians: Dawson Moon at 1 p.m., Layne Bowen at 2 p.m., Jake Kratochvil and Evan Norman at 3 p.m. and Shawn Barnby at 4 p.m.

Local bar and music venue Misfitz, 117 S. Main St., is new to the event this year and will host acoustic and comedy acts throughout.

The Odyssey Bar, a longtime participant, is under new ownership. Owner Jane Faber is participating in her first Brewfest.

Local arcade bar Barricade, which recently expanded, will host the Red Light Ravens starting at 6 p.m. Barricade will also feature Dera Offokaja and Jesse Malloy performing musical covers from 1 to 5 p.m.

Center Street Clubhouse will feature DJ Ontic from 1 to 8 p.m., followed by DJ Bingo from 8 to 10 p.m.

Station Square will host Idaho Rovers from 1 to 4 p.m.

All three local breweries — Jim Dandy Brewing, Off the Rails Brewing and The Martlet Brewery — will participate again, along with Wanderlust and Eruption Brewing of nearby Lava Hot Springs.

Off the Rails Brewing will also host Dawson Moon from 2:30 to 5 p.m. and Hal Waldram from 5 to 8 p.m.

With more than 50 brews from local and regional distributors, Gate City Brewfest lets patrons sample craft beers from the Intermountain West and beyond while exploring downtown’s restaurants, shops, pubs and venues.
