LAVA HOT SPRINGS — Idaho state government officials will set up shop in Lava Hot Springs on Tuesday, as Gov. Brad Little brings his traveling town hall to give residents a chance to weigh in on the issues shaping their community.

Little will bring his next "Capital for a Day" event to Lava Hot Springs from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lava Senior Center and Community Center, 150 N. Center St.

The governor will be joined by several state agency directors, including Idaho Department of Agriculture Director Chanel Tewalt, Idaho Department of Water Resources Director Mat Weaver, Idaho Department of Environmental Quality Director Jess Byrne and Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Director Juliet Charron.

Also attending will be Idaho Department of Lands Director Dustin Miller, Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation Director Susan Buxton, Idaho Transportation Department Director Alberto Gonzalez and Idaho Department of Finance Director Salvador Cruz.

"It is an honor to bring my next Capital for a Day to Lava Hot Springs," Little said. "I look forward to hearing directly from the people of Bannock County about what matters most to them. These conversations help us better understand how we can work together to make state government more responsive and effective."

The "Capital for a Day" program is part of Little's ongoing effort to bring state government to communities across Idaho, giving residents the chance to speak directly with the governor and top state officials about local and statewide issues.
