Pocatello mayoral candidates Greg Cates and Mark Dahlquist will participate in an Idaho State Journal online forum prior to the Dec. 2 runoff election.

The forum will be held via Facebook live at the Journal’s Pocatello office at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24.

There will be no in-person audience for the forum, but it will be viewable during and after the event on the Journal’s Facebook page.

At the forum the Journal will ask Cates and Dahlquist the same set of questions provided by our readers.

To submit a question for the candidates, visit idahostatejournal.com/questions. The deadline to submit a question is 10 a.m. Friday.

The Journal will select which submitted questions will be asked.

Cates and Dahlquist will also have the opportunity to each give opening and closing remarks at the forum.

Cates and Dahlquist were the top two vote-getters in the Nov. 4 mayoral election but because neither received over 50 percent voter support, the runoff election is being held.

Longtime Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad came in third place among the seven candidates running for the post on election day.
